Coronavirus: JKYog India Performs 48-hour Akhand Naam Sankirtan Mahayajna

Akhand Sankirtan and Prayer for Good Health and World Peace
Devotees of Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj organized a unique, international online 48-hour Akhand Naam Sankirtan Mahayajna for relief from COVID-19 from Friday, May 8th to Sunday, May 10th, 2020. This special sacrifice of continuous chanting of the Hari-Naam was performed for world peace and physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of all living beings during the coronavirus pandemic.
The event was telecast live internationally through a variety of online platforms and social media. Highlights of the event included an exclusive heartwarming and inspiring address on the true spirit of Yajna and its benefits upon the world, by Swami Mukundananda. He quoted the Bhagavad Gita to explain that the highest yajna is the chanting of the Names of God.
“Chant the names of God with your tongue; hear the Divine Names with your ears; keep your mind absorbed in the wonderful Form of the Lord. This is tridha bhakti—the threefold process of sadhana bhakti.” – Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj
JKYog India provided the rare opportunity for people the world over to participate in such a sacrifice through continuous Akhand Naam chanting and to benefit from divine blessings. For the first 24-hours, devotees chanted the Hare Ram Mahamantra. For the next 24-hours, they chanted Hari-Naam.
Exceptionally noteworthy was the selfless efforts of the participants, singers, and organizers towards an unprecedented 48-hour online, live non-stop Akhand Naam Kirtan Mahayajna, given the reality of social distancing due to COVID-19.
